never really even posted much on boards until I found Spawn but after that I was pretty well tied to it for a year or so until it totally went down the tubes. Now that was the golden age to me Everyone that I enjoyed chating with, reading their posts or just targeting all rolled up into one collective ball of text based enjoyment.
Then the great schism occurred and everyone split off to make boards of their own kind of like the reformation. It created what seems like a power vacuum in the message board world we had The sled RFB, Unreal, Spawn, and the Spawn/NECA board in no particular order. People complained that it was dead or for whatever reason they felt like. Well when you take the user base that was old Spawn.com and disperse it to all these boards you get dead spots (you also don't get your daily dose of robo unless you come here frequently)
Since the shit hit the fan with RFB, I don't go there anymore out of prinicipal mostly, Spawn seems to suck more and more every day Unreal I never really did well with and that pretty well leaves the sled and S/N of the two I really enjoy them both but I tend to frequent the sled moreso.
To get to my point I miss the good old days when new boards weren't popping up like adverts on a bad porn site and everyone was able to get along (mostly) But it is an era that I feel is for the most part destroyed
You're absolutely right.
I hope to change that with Pegwarmers.com. And with cr0w on board, should he decide to be, I don't think we'll have any problems. I'm not gonna sell anyone out like Joe, and I hope to make it a pretty good mainstream site. Sure, boards have been popping out of our asses since Spawn.com went downhill, but either way personally I just really want to build this site, Spawn.com and the migration of members from one board to another aside.

Anyway, the only reason I struck out to make a board in the first place is, quite honestly, to make a place where I would be happy posting. Call it an ego trip or whatever, but I'm not fond of having to weed through God knows how many bullshit threads to find one decent one to read and post in. If I can spend some of my free time running a place that is free of the annoying spam and bullshit that runs rampant on alot of boards, then I think it's a worthy cause.
People who just want to post anything and everything, from what they had for dinner last night to what color their shit was this morning, can go elsewhere. I'm not a big fan of bullshit, and I like to post on boards that have as little as possible. If that's an ego trip, then so be it.
